"The Gulf of Ankaos or the Great Inlets of Chili", Moll, Herman

This small map of the Chiloe Archipelago in Chile is engraved in Moll's distinctive style. The city of Castro is located on Chiloe Island, with Osorno incorrectly located just across the Chacao Channel, here called Raz of Osorno. Wild horses frolic in the center of Chiloe Island, and ships appear sailing in from the Pacific. On a sheet of English text measuring 8.8 x 14.4". Published in the first volume of Awnsham and John Churchill's Collection of Voyages and Travels.
