A Little About Us... Old World Auctions specializes in genuine antique maps, atlases and decorative graphics originating between the 14th and 20th centuries. We personally inspect all offerings, and catalog descriptions are carefully researched and prepared. We guarantee the authenticity and condition of each item. WE ARE NOT A PERSON-TO-PERSON INTERNET AUCTION. We do not have a live floor auction. All bidding is received either online, or by mail, telephone or fax. The company is owned and operated by Curt and Marti Griggs of Sedona, Arizona. It began operations in 1977 and through the years has grown tremendously from a small mail auction to one of the largest specialist auctions in the United States. Our professional staff combines years of diverse experience in collecting, preserving and dealing in genuine antiques. In addition to Old World Auctions we also operate OldMaps.com, an online Price Guide for antique maps, and Vintage-Graphics.com, an online digital image site dedicated to antique map images.
