Detailed town plan from this reissue of John Stow's important London survey. Includes "The Monument or Pillar where the fire began" built to commemorate the Great Fire of 1666. The map was likely engraved by Richard Blome as there is evidence of Blome's name having been erased in each of the two cartouches that grace the map. Tables at right provide a numbered key to the plan.
