Nice map of the United States with large western territories. Minnesota Territory takes in the Dakotas with Missouri Territory stretching to the Rocky Mountains. Indian Territory encompasses present day Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. West of the Rockies are the territories of New Mexico, Utah and Oregon, along with the state of California. The states and territories are listed in a table at lower left. Many Indian tribes are located throughout.
