Three very early wooden jigsaw puzzles in their original, large red box made to look like an atlas. With puzzles: "Carte de l ' Europe. . .", " Asie . . ., and "Mappemonde en deux Hemispheres. . ." The map of the world shows an Independent Texas. These are detailed maps that would also have been published in Bocage's Atlas Illustre. They were engraved by Ch. Smith, and published by Basset. This scarce item would need only the addition of North America and Africa to complete it.

Condition: B
Case is sound, but with wear. The bottom half of the brass lock is missing. Some minor water damage to Europe. All with some light scattered foxing, but in general very good for this type. All with original hand color, and all map pieces intact.
