The first view of an American city to be printed in the medium of lithography. The view is finely rendered showing the skyline with sail and steam ships in the foreground. Buff-colored stone was used to tone the black and white image, resulting in a beautiful effect reminiscent of a foggy morning.

Scattered foxing in margins, with one spot at top of view. Two minor printer's creases.
