Nice pair of decorative maps each surrounded in a delicately engraved border and embellished with vignettes. The map of North America includes large western territories in the United States and vignettes of beavers, elk, Eskimos, Plains Indians, Niagara Falls, Mayan ruins, etc. The map is filled with forts and locates many Indian Tribes. The map of South America is filled with detail and includes vignettes of gold mining in Brazil, condors and llamas of Peru, natives of Chili, Valparaiso, and Rio de Janeiro.
