As part of its extensive coverage of the disaster, Harper's Weekly, the leading illustrated national magazine of contemporary cultural life, included these two views of the city. First, drawn by Theodore R. Davis is a bird’s-eye view of the city with 49 numbered references keyed to numbers below title. Second, from a print by Currier & Ives, is a view of the part of the city affected by the fire.
