A beautiful and decorative map centered on Strasbourg with terrific detail along the Rhine from Basle north to above Philisbourg. Locates fortified cities, roads and forests. The map (10.2 x 9") includes a rococo-style title cartouche and is flanked by panels of text in French and surrounded in an elaborate baroque-style border featuring cherubs harvesting crops.
