This is a reduced version of Braun & Hogenberg's bird's-eye plan of the city of Aachen. The city is shown with its original walls (built in 1711) and the outer walls (built from 1257 to 1357). Embellished with a title cartouche, two coats of arms, and costumed figures in the foreground.
