Copper engraved world map on Mercator's Projection with the interior of the continents mostly blank except for ancient realms located in the Old World. The geography of the continental outlines is up-to-date with Tasmania still attached to Nouvel Hollande. A boldly engraved and handsome comparative chart with title in block-style cartouche.

Dark impression and fine later coloring. Issued folding, now pressed. A few marginal stains away from map image.
