Two nice map of Turkey providing an interesting comparison of 17th and 18th century cartography. First (9.2 x 7") is by Nicolas Sanson (fils), circa 1652. The map is uncolored and embellished with a strapwork title cartouche. The second (13.3 x 9.1") is by Rigobert Bonne and engraved by Andre, circa 1780. This map is more detailed and colored but less decorative.
