First state of this uncommon chart of Florida's gulf coast from Pensacola to Cape Florida, with the western part of Cuba. A bit of the Yucatan Peninsula is shown at lower right. Three insets depict Matanzas Bay, Havana Harbor and Hondo Bay. The chart is oriented with north to the left and nearly all the names are Spanish suggesting Spanish sources for the map. The elaborate cartouche is flanked by Neptune, god of the sea, and one of the wind gods.
