Superb map of this historic region based on the cartography of Ortelius. Graphically engraved to illustrate the forested land with a few cites and ancient place names. The map is elaborately adorned with large title, distance scale and dedication cartouches, a sailing ship, and a flirtatious scene of peasants.

Margins slightly trimmed but still very adequate. Backed with light Japanese tissue.
