This little miniature map was originally engraved by Petrus Kaerius (van den Keere) for Barent Langenes Map-treasury (Caert-thresoor). The plate was then used by Henricus Hondius to illustrate the 1621 edition of Paul Merula's Cosmographia. It depicts Rome and the vicinity and is printed on a full sheet of Latin text.
