This unusual map is from a rare 16th century Italian atlas of island maps. The map is a fine copper engraving rendered in the Italian style with a stippled sea and a simple title cartouche.

Condition: A

Very sharp impression with some printer's ink smudges and a couple of abrasions and tiny holes in the blank margins, one just entering the plate mark at left.
