Extremely detailed map of the vicinity of Stuttgart. The map covers the densely populated region and extends to include Heilbronn, Ulm and Pforzheim. This map replaced a smaller map of Wirtenberg in Ortelius' atlas in 1579 and is credited to Georg Gadner. The title is enclosed in a large strapwork cartouche and two monkeys adorn the distance scale. Latin text on verso. Published in the 1579 Latin edition.
References: Van den Broecke #113.
Condition: A
Some foxing in margins with a couple of tiny spots in map, still overall very good.
