Large and very detailed German map that covers the United States with parts of Canada and Mexico. The states and territories are shown with correct boundaries and there is superb detail of the railroads, emigrant roads, watershed and topography. Dakota Territory is still in its large form. Folding into original pictorial wrapper as published in a series titled "America in Wort un Bild Eine Schilderung der Vereinigten Staaten" by Friedrich von Hellwald.

Map is fine. Paper cover with a little soiling, a few tiny marginal tears and partially split along spine fold.
