Three oil related stock promotion brochures with maps. One of the brochures starts its sales pitch with "You possibly have heard little about the details of the oil business, because the big daily papers have seldom published any news about it." My, but times have changed! Three rare issues, all folding to 4" x 9".
1) "Devil's Den Fuel Oil Co," with inset map of "Devil's Den Oil Belt of Kern County". Text on verso, folds into printed color self-wrappers (18 x 16").
2) "Map of the Mohr Tract…In the Big Oil Belt of the State" on sheet with "Map of the Big Oil Belt of California from McKittrick to Coalinga Showing the Relative Situation of the Moht Tract…" Text at bottom and on verso. B/W (21 x 16.5").
3) "Astor Oil Company (Incorporated)" brochure with illustrations and maps showing their property in the McKittrick Oil District (4 x 8.8" folded).

All very good condition. The second with just a little toning along folds, still very good.
