Huge Japanese folding map covers all of Japan and was produced in the Meiji period. Hokkaido and Sakhalin Island are shown in an inset. This Japanese woodcut style map is both practical and decorative with several compass roses orienting the map. It presents extensive information on the countryside, cities and towns, as well as topography. Folding into dark blue paper backs.
