Large and decorative map of Scotland including the outlying islands. The map is filled with minute details and hundreds of place names. Superb title and distance scale cartouches surrounded by mythical and allegorical figures, putti and the royal and Scottish arms. This is a most handsome example with strong color and crisp impression.

Condition: A

A near fine example with original color and dark, early impression. On thick hand laid paper with full, original margins. A few light foxing spots at lower left in uncolored Ireland. Cartouche uncolored as issued.
