This is an attractive German version of Kitchen's map of Mexico and the Southwest published in a German edition of Robertson's History of America. The coastline extends from Pt. Conception in the west to New Orleans in the east. The map is well delineated with numerous Indian villages, the location of missions, watershed, and more. Texas is called Cenis. Inset at lower left shows Mexico City on the large Mexicanis Cher See. Finely engraved with a simple title cartouche and a small, but elegant compass rose.
