A handsome, large chart from this scarce nineteenth century atlas. The map is filled with an impressive array of information illustrating the physical and geographical divisions, shipping routes, roads and railways, and the plant and mineral distributions. The map is flanked with side panels containing numerous meticulously engraved vignettes representing the various commerce and industry of the different countries or regions.

Original color on a sound sheet Small damps stains at centerfold, mostly in blank margins and a bit of minor foxing along fold. Lower margin reinforced with tissue.
