Produced by the Southern Pacific Company and used as a promotional broadside, this map seeks to promote immigration and tourism in California. One side of the folded brochure is a map of California showing the different climatic zones by use of color and highlighting the railroads. A table in upper left gives the elevations of the state's biggest mountains. Relief is shown by hachures. The other side has statistical tables and information on California's climate with comparisons to other parts of the world.
