Lovely title page from this popular pocket atlas. The attribution for this atlas is confusing and different references attribute it variously to Langenes, Claesz, Bertius, Hondius and Van den Keere (Kaerius); all in fact are correct. Langenes was the printer, Claesz the publisher, Bertius wrote the text for the Latin editions, and the plates were engraved by Hondius and Van den Keere.

Delicate color and a nice impression. The sheet has some minor foxing and a small hole in the margin. The margins have some ink notations, repairs and some show-through of a personal ink stamp from the verso.
