An attractive and uncommon pair of views of New York.
1) View of Park Place, New York from Broadway to Church Street. North Side is a tinted lithograph featuring a bustling street scene on Park Place with all of the businesses and buildings on the opposite side of the street well detailed and described. The street is active with a large number of people walking and carriages traveling the cobblestone street. Dated 1855 , it was published by W. Stephenson & Co and lithographed & printed by Wm. Boell. Condition B, with irregular toning from old framing, trimmed but still ample margins. There is a 1" tear into the view at bottom that has a number of old tape repairs on the verso, and a couple of short marginal tears (29.3 x 18.5").
2) New - York in 1852 is a hand colored, anonymous etching depicting New York Harbor with an astonishing array of ships, including steamships, sailing ships and other types of watercraft. It is on a sturdy sheet of 20th century paper with a couple minor creases. Condition A (26.8 x 14.6").
