A fine plan from Pufendorf's chronicle on The Northern Wars and military campaigns of Sweden's King Charles X Gustav. It details the fortified town of Elbing (Elblag) near the Baltic coast. There is excellent delineation of the walls, bridges and extensive network of moats. The layout is strongly engraved with decorative cartouche and simulated picture frame border.
