This is the German version of Bellin's map of Nova Scotia. Prince Edward Island, here called Insel Saint Jean, is shown in good detail. The map covers all of Nova Scotia including Cape Breton and provides good detail of the region, particularly along the rugged coastline. Inland, several settlements and missions are located. The map is dated 1744, but was published in 1756.
