A detailed map of southern Russia and eastern Ukraine with Moscow shown as a fortified city just north of center. The strongly engraved copper plate map is based on the work of Guillaume de l'Isle. The map shows the mountains, rivers, lakes, swamps and forests, as well as the roads and towns.

References:

Condition: B+

Beautiful dark, early impression. Finely applied later color. The map is fine less an area of darkening at upper left with what looks like a small paper repair that does not affect image.
