Decorative sheet from a posthumous version of the Theatrum containing a commemorative plaque showing the epitaph engraved on Ortelius’ tomb at St. Michael’s in Antwerp. The architectural style engraving includes a medallion portrait of Ortelius above and map of the Eastern Hemisphere below. Latin text on verso.
