The title on this terrific railroad and marketing map continues "the West Coast, and the South Coast. Comprising the Jacksonville, Tampa, and Key West R'Y., the Florida Southern Railroad Company, Indian River Steamboat Company, Jupiter & Lake Worth Railway, Lake Worth Steamers and Connections." At upper right the map is dated as "Season of 1894-95." The colorful map shows the main part of Florida in great detail including full information on the railroads and connecting steamer routes. Insets include: Map of Indian River and Lake Worth showing the route of Indian River Steamboat Co.; Map of Western Part of Florida (on a smaller scale); and The West Coast of Florida from Punta Gorda to Naples. By 1895 the rails extend to below Palm Beach on the Atlantic side and to Tampa and Punta Gorda on the Gulf coast. The map has numerous engraved and photographic vignettes. Half of the verso contains sixteen photographs and accompanying descriptions promoting hotels and resorts in the state. The other half provides train schedules and other rail-related information. The brochure (4" x 8") self folds into orange printed covers. Printed by Matthews-Northrup Company of Buffalo in their precise style.
