This boldly engraved map covers all of Scandinavia, Denmark, northern Germany and Poland, and through European Russia. The cities shown in Germany and Poland are noted as belonging to the Swedes and Danes. A note and sketch above Novaya Zemlya says, "Some will have Nova Zembla to be thus joined to Groenland." The title cartouche includes the coat of arms of William Duke of Glocester, who was a student of Wells at Oxford.
