This is a handsome sea chart of the South Atlantic including the whole of South America and the western coastline of Africa. Details are only shown on the coastlines. Inset into the interior of South America are three coastal views: Cape St. Augustine, Cape Frio, and North Part of St. Catherine's Island. There are numerous notations on shoals, breakers and very doubtful islands. The chart is dominated by a large compass rose.

There is some faint offsetting and the centerfold has been reinforced with tissue on verso.
