This charming miniature map covering the northern part of Asia was probably engraved by Jodocus Hondius, one of two engravers (with Peter van den Keere) that produced plates for the Map-treasury. Petrus Bertius provided the text, but the maps are often attributed to him as most of the plates were not signed.
