This unusual, large map identifies the postal routes throughout Italy. A table at bottom contains columns of text identifying the distance between cities along with the routes taken between the cities. The large title cartouche is supported by two drape-style cartouches containing the distance scale and a dedication to Nosseigneurs les Enfans de France, the children of the royal family of France. Engraved by C. Inselin.

Original color on watermarked paper with wide margins and marginal soiling. There are scattered faint spots, light toning along centerfold, and one black ink spot near top left.
