Nice copper engraving illustrating the Dutch fleet capturing the fort at the entrance to the Baia de Todos os Santos, in northeastern Brazil. The scene is very active with billowing cannons and tiny figures rushing to action. Large inset plan of the bay is depicted in a scroll above the scene.

Lightly toned with a few small spots and a minute worm hole along neatline at top.
