A beautifully engraved historical map of Europe showing the European empire of Charlemagne, King of the Franks and Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, 742 - 814. The map was prepared by John Blair, an American politician and Founding Father, for his tables of chronology published in Chronology and History of the World. A rococo title cartouche graces the map. Engraved by Thomas Kitchin.
