Attractive map of southern Italy centered on the Salento peninsula. Otranto, along the eastern edge of this peninsula, divides the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. The map is filled with towns, churches, rivers and mountains in profile. Decorated by an elaborate dedication and title cartouche with sailing ships and compass rose in the sea. Latin text on verso, published between 1644-55.
