A lovely early map of border region between England and Scotland. The seas are engraved in Mercator's characteristic moiré pattern and the interior is filled with detail. The large strapwork title cartouche encompasses the distance scale. Latin text on verso.

Condition: B+

Excellent impression and color with light toning and faint damp stains in bottom blank margin. There is moderate scattered foxing primarily confined to the blank margins.
