This copper engraved map covers the German Empire, which covered the heart of Europe at the time and stretched from Belgium through Poland and from the Baltic Sea to the Gulf of Venice. The map shows the political divisions and major cities and towns. It is adorned with a strapwork title cartouche.

Original outline color with later coloring in the cartouche, wide margins, and faint toning along the centerfold. There is a light damp stain and and two small worm holes in top blank margin, away from image.
