This is a rare Italian edition of La Rue's chart of the Falkland islands, originally published in 1771. The simple chart shows only a partial outline of the western island and identifies only a few place names. The map is decorated with a simple title cartouche, rhumb lines, and a fleur-de-lys.

Issued folding on watermarked paper with a faint damp stain in blank margin at top left.
