This delicately engraved map of the northern half of the famous Champagne region is centered approximately on Reims. Locates hundreds of villages and towns with nice topographical detail and a fine rococo-style cartouche entwined with grapevines. Robert de Vaugondy's Atlas Universel was one of the most successful and enduring works of the latter part of the eighteenth century.
