B. Treasures Revealed from the Paul Mellon Library of Americana, by the Virginia Historical Society, published 2001, printed color (10.4 x 10.3"). This fascinating reference collects some of the notable pieces of Americana that philanthropist, art collector, sportsman, and conservationist Paul Mellon (1907-1999) left to the Richmond-based Virginia Historical Society after his death. Among the 102 items highlighted are John Smith's first printed account of the Jamestown colony, the first elephant folio edition of George Caitlin's study of the Indians in the west, and Winslow Homer's scarce lithographs capturing his experiences during the Civil War. Each of the items is accompanied by a description and color illustration. Hardbound in black cloth with gilt titles on cover and spine and an illustrated dust jacket. 232 pp.

Both books like new. There is very minor shelf wear to the dust jacket of <i>Treasures Revealed</i>.
