This colorful map, illustrated by R.L. McCollister, is filled with sporting animals and conveys a significant amount of information related to the hunting and fishing opportunities across the United States and Canada. Above the map are gaming laws for both countries for the 1954-1955 season (full sheet sizes are approximately 27.8 x 35.6"). In addition to the Sportsmen's map, there are large maps showing: United States (political), Europe, Asia, Alaska/Arctic, a world map with presidential portraits, and a map of the state of Michigan (presumably published for this region). Map sheets are held together by a small metal fastener at top. An unusual and apparently rare wall map set that was especially ephemeral because the game laws applied to only one season. No other copies noted in OCLC.

The maps are in generally very good to near fine condition. There are some old tape repairs on the bottom of the first sheet that have since been removed and replaced with archival tape, leaving a bit of tape stain. There are only a few additional minor imperfections including occasional creasing, minor soiling, and tiny chips to the right blank margins of the sheets.
