This small, double-hemisphere map of the world features a sphere with a North Polar projection in the center of the title banner. Another interesting element is the island of California, with a blank coastline to the north. Speculative cartography also appears in the south Pacific, with only partial outlines of Australia (New Holland) and New Zealand. This map was first published in Moll's Thesaurus Geographicus in 1695, and then also appeared in his A System of Geography in 1701 and The Compleat Geographer in 1709, both of which included essentially the same maps as in the first publication.
