This bird's-eye plan of Cahors was published in an illustrated topographical survey of seventeenth century France. This royal geographer published the maps in 17 separate parts between 1634 and 1644. Although commonly referred to as Nicholas Tassin, his actual name was Christophe Tassin.

A crisp impression with some paper weakness in the top corners of the sheet, causing several short tears and chips confined to the blank margin. Remnants of hinge tape on verso.
