This attractive view of the fortified city of Turin was issued in an Italian edition of Thomas Salmon's Modern History. The engraving shows the city from a slight elevation with individual buildings drawn in excellent detail. The Po River runs along the walls of the city, and the foothills of the Alps are depicted in the background.

Condition: B+

Issued folding on a clean sheet of watermarked paper. There is a small chip along the left fold that has been closed on verso with old paper, and there is one tiny hole also along the left fold that is only visible when held to light.
