This is one of the largest and most decorative maps focused on the island of Corfu off the western coast of Greece. At bottom left is a large inset with a bird's-eye plan of the town and fortifications of Corfu, with a lettered key identifying locations. At top left is a small map showing the location of Corfu in relation to both Greece and southern Italy. The impressive title cartouche features Poseidon, the angel Pheme, and two putti holding large shields, one of which represents the lion of Venice.
