This graphic map of the Old World is dedicated to Jacobo Marcello. The map is based on classical geography, covering Europe, most of Africa, and part of Asia. The signs of the zodiac, climatic zones, and other types of information form rings around the map, which is then set in a boldly engraved background with the dedication cartouche and the Venetian coat of arms.

A nice impression on a watermarked sheet with a small abrasion near the center of the image with a minuscule portion of a latitude line replaced in facsimile. There are a few archivally repaired edge tears confined to the blank margins and remnants of hinge tape on verso.
