Magnificent map on two sheets of Scandinavia and the Baltic States with a brilliant figurative armorial cartouche dedicating the map to Charles XII, King of Sweden. The map is filled with excellent detail of the topography and the cities, towns, and villages. There are four distance scales on the second sheet at bottom right. Engraved by Henri Liexbaux.

Nice impressions on watermarked paper with original wash and outline color. There is light offsetting, an archivally repaired centerfold separation that enters 1.5" into image at bottom of southern sheet, and light toning along the edges of the sheet. There are several damp stains also along the edges of the sheet, just passing the neatline at the top of the southern sheet.
